Experience
I have almost 17 years of classroom teaching experience in Inner city Los Angeles, CA. Consequently, I have loads of experience working with elementary children of diverse backgrounds who are below grade level, above grade level (GATE), and special needs. I was awarded the distinct honor of UCLA's New Teacher of the Year in 2008, LAUSD’s Teacher of the Year in 2016, and LA County Teacher of the Year in 2016. I possess a passion for tutoring by providing a platform for personal and academic success. Sometimes, a child's personal needs inhibit their academic performance. Thus, building an effective rapport with your aspiring scholar is my first priority.

Hobbies
Hi Parents! I look forward to working with your son or daughter in the near future. When I'm not teaching or grading papers, I live a very active lifestyle. I'm an avid marathon athlete and can usually be found running Huntington Beach's boardwalk about 5 days a week, watching football and baseball with friends and family, rollerblading, biking, eating sushi and/or red meat, and playing with my niece and nephews!
