I graduated from CSULB may 2014 and I am returning this Fall to start the teaching credential program and hope to get credentials to teach English, Science and Special Education. I took all the courses for the technical writing certificate program as well. I have an emphasis in editing, reading comprehension, grammar and writing in general. I also love science and have taken Marine Biology, contemporary biology and basic science courses.
Experience
I have 5 years with the Los Alamitos Unified School District as an Instructional aide. I have primarily worked in special education classes, but have worked many days in general classes including middle school science classes and was very hands on in assisting the students, without giving them the answers to their work and helping them come up with the answers on their own. I am interested in tutoring because I had a hard time when I was younger in school and would love to help tutor and mentor a child while going further in school to get credentials to be a teacher. I worked hard to get where I am, and I am a big advocate at showing kids that something may not be easy, but it can absolutely be done with some hard work. Some things don't come as easily to each of us and it just takes focus, determination and hard work. I previously helped tutor my neighbor just to help because her mom was a single mom and she wasn't doing well in school.

Getting my 5 year old ready for Kindergarten, going to the aquarium, Disneyland, community volunteering, beach clean ups, teaching others about the ocean and keeping it clean, going to the beach, sewing and quilting! I like to do things that involve creativity and coming up with art projects and fun things to do with my kids.
