Hi, my name is Lauren and I am a recently Berkeley graduate (Class of 2015), where I studied Classics and Art History. I graduated with Honors and explored subjects on all corners of campus, including Toxicology, French, Latin, English Literature, Scandinavian History, and so many more. I have a passion for learning and would feel so satisfied if I could help encourage that educational drive and love in your student.

With a lifelong love and focused study of English, Art, and History, I'd be happy to help you or your student better understand these topics. I've written countless papers and edited even more - I worked on the editing staff of two publications during my time at Cal, including a position as a managing editor - so it would be my pleasure to work with you on writing and editing your school papers or college essays. Throughout my childhood, I was a voracious reader and I find it extremely rewarding to watch students discover a passion for literature and writing. My original plan was to become an English major in college, so I spent all of my high school years intensely focused on improving my grammar, vocabulary, and writing skills. I have read many styles of literature, from scholarly articles to literary classics. As I said above, throughout college I worked on the editing staff of several publications, ranging from Classics essays to political satire. Writing and editing are huge loves of mine and I have always found it enjoyable to look for fun tricks to help writing concepts stick in a student's mind.

My deep love of history extended into my two fields in college. I studied various periods of ancient history, particularly Ancient Roman, as well as Latin language. My focus in Art History revolves around ancient art as well as 18th century European art, but I have an interest in all artistic periods. My biggest passion is sewing, and I have been researching and creating historical and modern clothing for ten years! I love all creative outlets, including music and dancing, which I feel fit my upbeat personality!
